It would be a flat out lie to insinuate at all that Hari is a popular or likeable type a person in a general sense. Thick headed, harsh, impulsive and all around a very rash person, the majority of the time he often comes across as a bully or a gangster than an upstanding citizen. This is all to his general bewilderment, even if he doesn’t particularly mind, and it’s likely due to this willful ignorance he isn’t about to go out of his way to change these habits. Hari makes up for his generally nasty attitude with something a lot of other people don’t quite have: a ludicrous amount of passion for just about anything. While it’s true he can be obnoxious about it, whenever Hari sets a goal for himself, he absolutely pours himself into it. It’s all in or nothing at all, and it’s this over the top, excitable side of him that redeems him. (For some people, that is.)</sub>

Love knows no boundaries, or so they say, had to have been the overall motto of Hari’s parents when they had gotten together. His Indian father had helped his Swedish wife deliver Hari on Japanese soil in an American naval base; if that didn’t speak volumes for what his family was like, not much would. He was raised painfully like the stereotypical military brat: he moved constantly, grew up in American military culture, and never really settled down, let alone unpacked his things, until fairly recently. As he didn’t have much of siblings the few encounters he made in his childhood stuck with him and were far more treasured than they would’ve been if he had stuck in one place.

In a way, he was often lonely. Although, it was due to this unique upbringing that Hari had been able to naturally come to love something he never would have appreciated otherwise. The radically different environments he was exposed to proved a problem in him being unable to communicate to the various people he encountered. Be it due to culture or language he was often stuck being unable to reach out connect with these potential friends or allies, and in his youth he frantically looked for a universal language he could use. Being the romantic he was and is, the language he attached himself to could only be found in music.

Hari is a hard believer in the power of music and it’s ability to naturally align hearts, no matter how terribly cheesy it sounds. Even in his earlier youth he had a mad passion of creating and celebrating compositions of all kinds: it didn’t matter to him if they were shabby or rushed as long as the passion was there. Whatever loneliness or ostracization he had imposed on himself was very quickly thrown out the window if there was a song to be shared. He had learned quickly that not everyone connected to the same kinds of music: he preferred rock ballads, another would like piano sonatas, and another still preferred hip hop or blues. Finding the ‘song’ that can reach out to every individual has been Hari’s starry-eyed goal ever since his mental revelation.

It was shortly after this that his parents had more or less settled down to try and enroll Hari for a full high school career. It was the two of them who introduced him to the concept of idols, and asked if he was interested in a school based around the subject, and Hari was hooked faster than he could say “yes”. In a lot of ways he had prepared his whole childhood for this sort of thing, or at least that is what he told himself, and he enrolled in Kokone academy with a reinforced goal of being able to find his dream ‘song’. This while still keeping up with his dream of connecting to all sorts of strangers as the idol he had every intention to becoming.

Since he's only ethnically half Indian, his hair isn't jet black like his dad's. 
He's currently still an primarily American citizen.
His instrument of choice is his voice, but he can also play the guitar, sitar, harmonica, cello, and keyboard! None too spectacularly, but he spends almost all of his free time practicing various instruments.
He's not quite good at dancing and is consistently embarrassed by that. He ends up practicing a lot to master his dance routines!
Hari can't be relied on to reply to text messages since he's constantly losing his cellphone.
